Batik Bali is one of the batik variations that spread from Java. Making batik may new to the Island, but Bali has well potential for batik because people of Bali are very well-known for its high craftsmanship and artistic. At first, Bali people use batik Bali only for activities related to religious purposes and other traditional ceremonies. They tied batik Bali on their waist or in their head like a headband. In the Bali language, they are called by udeng.

Batik Bali’s motifs are inspired and based on the natural environment, Bali cultures, and influences from other islands. Mainly, batik Bali has three motif styles. Tourist attractions styles representing Bali’s nature, such as Cambodia flowers, Hibiscus flowers, fish, and birds. Culture style representing religious rituals such as ngaben. And finally, Mythology style, representing phantasm creatures, commonly such as barong, buta, and winged lion.
