You need to wash your batik fabric with the hair shampoo or special detergent which only used for this fabric such as Perwoll. This is specialized use for wool, batik, and silk as well. You should not rub your batik fabric. If your batik fabric was not too dirty, then you can clean it up by using warm water. But, if your fabric was stained enough, you can clean it up by using the ordinary bath soap. However, if the stain is still hard to remove, you can use the orange peel for that purpose. Keep in mind that you should not use the washing machine. After the stain removed, you need to dry it up under the shady space but you do not need to squeeze it. Let the fabric dry naturally. 

You cannot iron your batik fabric directly. if you find that your fabric is tangled so much, then you can spray the water in the surface part and you need to layer your fabric with another fabric.
